
This is to bring to the general public that the Niger Delta University (NDU) Resumption Date is now made available for all students of the institution. To access the calendar do well to follow up with us as we get you informed on all NDU Update.
All students and staff of the NDU are instructed to take note of the NDU Resumption Date, and do well to begin academic activities immediately. This is to enable the institution rush up academic year and begin next Academic Calendar.
NDU Resumption & Other Important Dates
This is to inform the University Community and the general public that the Committee of Provost and Deans (CPD) at its 156th Emergency Meeting held on Monday, March 6, 2023, deliberated on issues concerning the resumption for the 2021/2022 Academic Session and decided as follows:
The University will resume for the 2021/2022 Academic Session First Semester Break on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
The suspended undergraduate (regular) First Semester Examination for the 2021/2022 Academic Session will continue from Monday, March 20, 2023.
Students who are yet to pay their fees and register their courses should do so to enable them to write the First Semester Examination. However, students who are unable to pay their fees shall pay a default fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) only, which will enable them to register their courses.
Only students who have registered for their courses shall write the First Semester Examinations.
All students are advised to pay up their school fees on or before the commencement of the Second Semester Examinations.
Students who are unable to pay their fees before the commencement of the Second Semester Examinations should suspend their studies.
The erstwhile proposed supplementary examination for the First Semester has been cancelled
NDU Resumption & Other Important Dates
Following the suspension of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike action, the Senate met on Thursday, November 3,2022 and resolved as follows:
1. Academic activities will begin online on Monday, November 7, 2022, while the University Management waits for the government to repair the damaged portions of the road leading to the University.
2. The University’s ICT centre shall train all academic staff on the usage of the apps required to teach online, and the training exercise shall begin on November 21, 2022, and end on November 24, 2022.
3. The matriculation ceremony for the 2021/2022 Academic Session will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
4. All University 100 Level students who have not finished their clearance process should do so as of Monday, November 7, 2022, as representatives from several Faculties will be on the ground at the Faculty of Law site in Yenagoa to assist such students.
5. All outstanding final year results of students who have paid school fees and have duly registered for courses online must be forwarded to Senate as supplementary results by the respective Deans of Faculty.
