MAU Recruitment General Eligibility

All Applicant should note that they are required to possess the following:

1. A minimum of 180 marks in the 2022/2023 UTME for:

• Nautical Science
• Marine Engineering and
• Electrical/Electronics Engineering

• Maritime Transport and Business Studies.

        2. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.

         3. Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.

           4. Candidates who selected Nigeria Academy Maritime as their institution of First Choice and have scored the specified cut-off marks to attend the Post JAMB UTME screening

Important Information for Nigeria University Admission Form and Recruitment for Registration

• Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at the time of commencement of the programme.

• The official cutoff mark for Nigeria maritime university admission is 170. So this means your jamb cutoff mark must be 170 and above. in essence, cutoff mark minimum is 170. So if you have a jamb cutoff mark of 170 and above, you have chances of going to the third stage which i jamb admission confirmation.

This serves as a guide for payment of fees by both Fresh and Returning students for 2021/2022 academic session:

FRESH STUDENTS

All Fresh Students are advised to make payments in three (3) stages and in the following order:
Acceptance Fees……………………………………………………………………………. N30,000.00

Other Charges (including caution, medical, etc and as summed up according to Departments/Faculties)

RETURNING STUDENTS

All returning students (200 level, 300 level and 400 level) are advised to make bulk payment of the total charges in accordance to their various Departments/Faculties.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS

All Payments must be made into the University TSA Account no. 024052261018
Generate RRR through any authorized outfit or via Bursary Office of the University
Select the appropriate Revenue purpose (SCHOOL FEES-STUDENTS CHARGES)
Ensure to obtain Official Receipt with Adhesive Stamp for all payments.

• Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.

NMU Post UTME Screening Notice 

This is to notify Candidates for the 100 level screening exercise that they are requested to come for their screening with the following items/documents:

• Evidence of Payment of All Fees (Please check fees details on the website)
• Original JAMB Admission Letter
  Original UTME Notification of Result
  SSCE/NECO/GCE etc. (Original) and Five photocopies of Computer printed private candidates
• SSCE result duly certified and stamped by the principal (Original and Five Photocopies)
• Two (2) Letters of Reference from a Reputable Clergyman/Imam/Senior Civil Servants (Original and Five Photocopies)
  Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age (Original and Five Photocopies)
  Local Government of Origin or State of Origin Certificate
• Passport photograph with red background (12 copies)
  All candidates who obtained their entry qualifications i.e WASC, GCE, NECO, etc on or before 2015 must tender the Original of their Certificates
• The use of Affidavit in lieu of statement of result and correction of names will not be accepted

Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.

A. Nautical Science
a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include.
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics
– Geography,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Nautical Science with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.

c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

d. Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

B. Marine Engineering
a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics,
– Chemistry,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS

b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Marine Engineering with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.

c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

d. Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

C. Maritime Transport and Business Management

a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
– Mathematics,
– English Language,
– Economics,
– and any two of Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting and Business Management obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number

c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organization.
d. Applicants with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

ACADEMY TRANSCRIPT
Academic Transcript of Applicants from other accredited institutions must reach the Academic Registrar on or before the Closure of the application portal and a copy to admission@maritimeacademy.gov.ng.

How to Apply for Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND Admission Form

Eligible candidates should log on to the Academy website www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng and take the following steps:

1. Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
2. Create an Account
   Generate and Print the Payment Slip
3. Proceed to any of the banks listed on the portal to make payment using the eTranzact Payment
4. Platformor pay online
   Return to the Academy Portal to complete the Registration Form.
5. Candidate must download Applicant Medical Examination
6. Form(Form M) from the application portal.
7. This form must be duly completed and signed before upload on the portal.

Note: Candidate are expected to undergo the following medical test at any Government Hospital and upload medical result on the application portal.

2. VDRL
3. HBV
4. HIV1/2
5. FASTING BLOOD SUGAR (FBS)
6. PT (Pregnancy Test for Females)
7. URINALYSIS
8. GENOTYPE
9. BLOOD GROUP

The medical test must be carried out within the stipulated period.
