About Miles Morland Foundation

The primary objective of the Miles Morland Foundation is to provide financial support to organisations in Africa that make it possible for Africans to have their voices heard. It has a strong interest in promoting African writing as well as African literature.
Before a writer becomes well-known in their field, it may be challenging for them to write while also making enough money to support themselves. The Morland Memorial Foundation (MMF) recognises that there is a need for more writers, and therefore it gives out a limited number of Morland Writing Scholarships each year. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide recipients with the means to write the first draft of a finished book
