ABSU Post UTME General Eligibility
- All candidates who selected Abia State University as their First or Second choice,
- Candidates who intend to change to ABSU as their First choice
- Those who did not use ABSU as their choice at all but want to be admitted into the University, who scored up to the University cut-off of 160 and above in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Candidate must have minimum of five (5) O’ level credit passes including English and mathemathics in WAEC and NECO

- Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay N2,000.00 only.
How to Apply for ABSU Post UTME Form Screening for 2023/2024 Admission
- All eligible candidates should Log on to the ABSU Application portal @portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng
- Afterwards, go ahead to generate an invoice.
- Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay N2,000.00 only.
- ABSU Microfinance Bank;
- Polaris (Skye) Bank Plc;
- Zenith Bank Plc;
- First Bank Plc;
- Ecobank Plc,
- Fidelity Bank Plc;
- Union Bank Plc;
- UBA Plc.
- Get back to the ABSU portal @portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng
- Then click on Applicant.
- Proceed Select to ABSU Aptitude Test
- Finally, Complete the Application Form
- Ensure you upload a clear passport photograph to avoid rejection of candidate
- Download a copy as an evidence of registration.
ABSU Post Utme Screening Date
ABSU has structured its screening exercise over three days:
- Day 1: Wednesday, 9th August, 2023 Faculties of Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, College of Medicine, Health Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Day 2: Thursday, 10th August, 2023 Faculties of Law, Agriculture, Economics & Management Sciences, and Social Sciences.
- Day 3: Friday, 11th August, 2023 Faculties of Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, and Humanities.
All screening exercises will take place at the main campus in Uturu, commencing at 10.00am each day.
Candidates Qualified for ABSU Post UTME Screening
- Candidates who chose Abia State University as their 1st Choice,2nd Choice and those who did not choose the University at all in the UTME but want to change on the JAMB platform.
- Candidates who scored 140 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Candidates who possess the basic five O’level credit passes in accordance with the University entry requirements.
